American Legion Riders (ALR) was established in 1993, as a post level activity at Post 396 in Michigan.
On October 17, 2007, the ALR became a Nationally Recognized Program in the American Legion.

Membership
The American Legion Riders is a program of the American Legion. Membership is open only to members of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary and The Sons of The American Legion.
